The 5pm recap never went out. This is the overnight board from 1 into 2 September: a 10kg washer, a 55-inch Mini LED, a Ninja air fryer, and two Boots grooming tickets whose strikethroughs need a raised eyebrow.

AO listed the Haier X7 10kg 1400rpm WiFi washing machine in Black Steel at £449, was £629. That is £180 off, 29%. A 10kg drum at 1400rpm is a family machine, not a compact. WiFi is neither here nor there. £449 is in the right postcode for a mid-range 10kg; treat £629 as a ceiling, not gospel.

Currys has the Hisense U7S 55-inch Mini LED 4K 144Hz Smart AI TV at £899, was £1,199. £300 off, 25%. Mini LED and 144Hz is the gaming-adjacent spec; it is still a Hisense, not an LG C-series. £899 for a 55-inch Mini LED is the number that matters. The £1,199 was-price is at least plausible for this line.

Very has the Ninja Double Stack XL 2-Level Air Fryer 9.5L SL451UK at £199, was £289. £90 off, 31%. Two drawers, 9.5 litres — the chassis people actually buy. £199 is a known street price; £289 is the usual Ninja list, not a fantasy RRP.

Boots is noisier. The Braun Smart IPL Skin I Expert PL7441 is £499.99 against £1,039.99. Fifty-two percent on the ticket, £540 off. IPL list prices are theatre. If you wanted this handset, £500 is the figure; nobody was paying four figures in a high-street chemist.

The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 Pink HX9911/84 is £119.99, was £300. Sixty percent on paper. DiamondClean 9000 street prices live well south of £300; £120 is a decent buy if you like the pink set, not a two-thirds miracle.
