Electric toothbrush deals — Sonicare 5300 £59.99, Oral-B iO6 £99.99
NiftyDealsMidday on 2 September is an electric-toothbrush pile-up. Boots and Currys both have sonic and oscillating brushes on tickets that look dramatic until you ignore the list prices.
Boots has the Philips Sonicare 5300 White (HX7108/01) at £59.99, was £169.99. Sixty-five percent on the ticket. The 5300 is a mid-range sonic, not DiamondClean. £60 is a normal sale band for this model; £169.99 is Philips list, not a street most people pay in September.
Currys has the Oral-B iO6 electric toothbrush with travel case in Black Lava at £99.99, was £300. Sixty-seven percent if you believe the was-price. iO6 sits above Pro 1; £100 is the figure that matters. Treat £300 as Oral-B’s ceiling, not a price you ever paid.
Boots also has the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 special edition in aquamarine with travel case (HX9911/88) at £119.99, was £300. Sixty percent on paper. App-connected, nicer case. £120 is a known Boots sale; £300 is the same inflated list as the iO6.
The Oral-B iO2 Calm Pink with travel case is £40 at Boots, was £100. Sixty percent. iO2 is the entry iO. £40 is cheap enough if you want the round head without paying for iO6 extras.
Boots has the Oral-B Pro 1 Blue at £35, was £70. Straight half-price, and the most honest was-price on this board. CrossAction, no iO display. Fine if you just want an oscillating brush under forty quid.
